Privacy protection

The Controller of your personal data processed in the website www.visit.swinoujscie.pl is the Mayor of Świnoujście, ul. Wojska Polskiego 1/5, 72-600 Świnoujście. The website Controller emphasises the importance to respecting Users’ privacy. The data collected in the logs are used only for the purposes of administering the Website. Servers automatically save data such as page request sent by the User, date and time of request and response, device data (e.g. hardware model), browser type, browser language, type of operating system. Most logs (server logs) are not associated with any specific User.

Data collection

I.  All data from Website Users is collected in two ways:

1.  information provided voluntarily by the User:

We request the provision of the Users’ personal data using the contact forms available in the website in order to provide an answer to the issue presented.

2.  information obtained while using the Website, including:

a) IP address – each computer connected to the internet is assigned a unique number, i.e. IP address; on its basis, one can identify, for example, the country from which a given User connects to the network. The Controller reserves the right to store additional logs inside the website that connect the IP address to the customer’s account. These logs are only used to analyse possible technical problems when using the website.

b) text files (“cookies”) sent to the User’s computer when visiting the website. Cookies only store the data required by the website for proper operation.

II.  The controller of the data in the website is the Mayor of Świnoujście, ul. Wojska Polskiego 1/5, 72-600 Świnoujście. The controller processes personal data in accordance with the authorization granted by the User and in accordance with applicable law, including: Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) 2016/679 of 27.04.2016, and the act of 18 July 2002 on the provision of services electronically (Dz.U. z 2017 r. poz. 1219).

Cookie mechanism

The term “cookie” used in this document refers to cookies and other similar tools described in Directive 2009/136/EC of the European Parliament regarding the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector (Directive on privacy and electronic communications) and art. 173 of the Telecommunications Law.

I. The web browser may store cookies on your computer. Cookies contain information necessary for the proper functioning of the Website. “Cookies” are small files saved on the User’s end device, used to identify the User’s browser while using the Website. With cookies, the Controller is provided with statistical information on Users’ traffic, activity and the manner of using the Website. They allow to customize the content and services to the User’s preferences.

II. The content of cookies does not allow the identification of the User.

III. Personal data of Website Users are not processed or stored with cookies.

IV. The cookie mechanism is not used to obtain any information about Users, except the information about their behaviour in the website. The Controller uses Google tools to track the activities of Website Users. In this case, “cookies” are used to store information, e.g. about the start time of the User’s current visit and whether the User has already been to this site and from which site he came to the website administered by the Controller.

V. The Controller stores cookies on Users’ computers in order to:

ensure the proper adjustment of the Website to the Users’ needs and optimisation of the use of websites;

remember the preferences and individual settings of the User, allow to recognize the device of the Website User and properly display the website tailored to his needs;

create Website viewing statistics that helps to understand how Website Users use websites, which allows improving their structure and content;

VI. Types of cookies used in the Website administered by the Controller.

1. Due to the life of cookies and other similar technologies, the following files are used:

a) “session” cookies, i.e. temporary files that are stored on the User’s end device until logging out, leaving the website or turning off the software (web browser).

b) “persistent” cookies, which are stored on the User’s end device for the time specified in the cookie file parameters or until they are deleted by the User.

2. Due to the purpose of cookies and other similar technologies, the following types of files are used:

a) “necessary” cookies that enable the use of services available in the website, e.g. authentication cookies used for services that require authentication in the website;

b) used to ensure security: cookies used to detect fraud in the area of authentication in the website;

c) “performance” cookies that enable the collection of information on how to use the Website’s pages;

d) “functional” cookies that enable “remembering” the settings selected by the User and personalizing the User’s interface, e.g. for language or region of the User’s origin, font size, website appearance, etc.;

e) “advertising” cookies that enable delivery of advertising content optimally tailored to Users’ interests.

VII. The User has the option of configuring the web browser to completely or partially disable the storage of cookies on the computer’s hard drive. These settings can be changed in particular in such a way as to block the automatic handling of cookies in the web browser settings or to inform about them every time they are placed in the website User’s device.

VIII. The Controller informs that restrictions on the use of cookies may affect some of the functionalities available in the Website.

Processing of personal data

I. Data collected as part of the Website are used to provide certain services to our Users and for marketing, administrative and statistical purposes, as well as to protect the Website.

II. The Controller collects and processes personal data for purposes related to the ongoing operation of the portal, enabling contact with the User via the appropriate form. Each time, the purpose, scope and recipients of data processed by the Controller result from actions taken by the User.

III. The basis for the processing of personal data is primarily voluntary contact on your part and consent in this regard (Article 6 paragraph 1 point a GDPR). Data processing may also take place on the basis of Article 6 paragraph 1 letters b, c, d, f GDPR.

IV. The Controller informs that he will process personal data in order to enable Users to contact the Controller via the contact form, as well as to answer the question, complaint;

Moreover:

if you have given consent: also for the purposes of marketing own products and services using electronic means of communication, pursuant to Article 6 paragraph 1 letter f GDPR and the provisions of other acts requiring consent for such actions, until the consent for such actions is withdrawn or an objection is raised, whichever occurs first,

for statistical purposes based on Article 6 paragraph 1 letter f GDPR, where the legally justified goal is to have information about the statistics of activities carried out by the Controller, which allows improving the business,

handling of calls made with the contact form, other applications, where the legitimate purpose is to answer applications and inquiries addressed using the contact form or in another form, including storing sensitive applications and responses to maintain accountability, for a period of 3 years.

V. The Controller informs that the data will be forwarded to recipients on the basis of relevant outsourcing agreements only for the purpose of answering the message sent via the contact form, suppliers of external systems supporting the Controller’s activities.

VI. Your personal data will not be transferred to other recipients, to a third country or international organizations.

VII. The Controller may process the following Users’ personal data: name and surname, email address, contact phone number, IP address.

VIII. Providing data by the user is voluntary, but also necessary to answer question, complaint, application made via the contact form provided.

IX. When the purpose of personal data processing includes marketing activities and the provision of commercial information, including, for example, receiving messages in the form of a free newsletter, information about promotions, events and competitions organized by the Controller, the basis for processing is the consent of the data subject. By asking for consent, we inform the User about the exact purpose of data processing in the information clause. The User’s personal data will be processed until the consent is withdrawn. The Controller reserves that due to the synchronization of activities, pseudonymisation / anonymisation from the User’s data system may take up to 72 hours from the time of objection.

X. Data collected as part of the website will not be sold or made available to other institutions or organizations or persons who are not employees or permanent associates of the Controller, in connection with the use of Google and Facebook plugins, User’s data may be shared with Facebook Ireland Ltd. and Google Inc. Access to data is provided by companies cooperating with the Controller that support the system, as well as Google Inc. by using data for statistical purposes of Google Analytics and Google AdWords advertising functionalities.

XI. Your personal data will not be subject to profiling activities consisting in the analysis of personal data and binding decisions will not be made vis-à-vis you in an automated manner.

XII. Based on the information obtained as part of the Website, the Controller may draw up aggregate statistical summaries that may be disclosed to third parties. However, such statements do not contain any data that identifies individual Users.

XIII. The Controller provides Users with the implementation of the rights arising from Article 173 of the Telecommunications Law and Article 32 of the act of 29 August 1997, as well as Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016, in particular: the right to inspect and correct data, the right to delete data (being forgotten) or limit their processing, the right to object to data processing for purposes other than those stated above, the right to transfer data, the right to withdraw consent at any time, the right to lodge a complaint to the supervisory authority, which is (President of the Office for Personal Data Protection).

Security

I. The Controller makes every effort to protect the Website against unauthorized access by third parties. For this purpose, among others, firewall, server security devices, encryption devices and physical security measures are used.

II. The Controller’s website contains links to other websites. After being transferred to such other websites, we recommend reading the privacy policy there. The Controller is not responsible for the privacy policy of websites to which links are placed in the website.

Changes

In the event of a change to the Privacy Policy in force in the website, the Controller will post the appropriate modification on this subpage.

This Privacy Policy ensures the protection of personal data at least at the level specified in the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation).
