Świnoujście can be reached by National Road no. 3 (which forms part of the European route E65). When entering the town, head towards the CENTRUM ferry route operated by KARSIBÓR ferries. The crossing is open to everyone.

The second ferry crossing, WARSZÓW (BIELIK ferries) reserved for vehicles bearing ZSW registration numbers or ID, can be used during days or hours when the Świnoujście – Centrum ferry crossing is not operating, and between the hours of 23:20 and 3:40 the Świnoujście – Warszów ferry crossing is open to all passenger cars and lorries weighing up to 3.0t.

The centre of Świnoujście can also be reached from Germany. There is a station of the German UBB railway at ul. 11 Listopada. UBB provides quick and convenient transportation in the vicinity of Uznam, linking Świnoujście with the German towns of Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf and Bansin, further on to Wolgast, Greiswald and Stralsund, with connections reaching as far as Berlin.

Świnoujście offers two ferry crossings - Warszów (Bieliki) and Centrum (Karsibór). The crossing is free.

Warszów (Bieliki)
Between the hours of 4:00 and 22:00 it is reserved for vehicles bearing ZSW registration numbers or ID.. From 22.00 - 4.00, cars and lorries weighing up to 3 tonnes can use it with no limitations.

Świnoujście has an extensive bicycle track infrastructure. In the left-bank part of town alone, even though it is penned in by the Świna Strait and the border, there are currently more than thirty kilometres of cycle tracks connecting the major points of the resort - the town centre, port, coastal district and border crossing with the German towns of Ahlbeck and Garz.

Within the administrative boundaries of Świnoujście there are over a hundred kilometres of cycle lanes, clearly marked in accordance with international standards. The excellent cycling infrastructure of the German part of Uznam is also within arm’s reach.

All this means that two-wheeled excursions can be adapted perfectly to your interests, amount of time available, fitness level and cycling abilities.

There are currently two generally accessible border crossings:

• the Świnoujście/ Ahlbeck crossing is a road and rail crossing. Types of border traffic allowed - personal, road (pedestrians, cyclists, passenger cars up to 3.5t, motorcycles, buses).
• the Świnoujście/ Garz crossing is a road crossing (pedestrians, cyclists, buses, passenger cars, motorcycles, freight traffic - vehicles up to 7.5 t).

When travelling to Germany, remember that you need to be in possession of a passport or ID card, this includes children.

In Świnoujście there is a Paid Parking Zone in operation all year round. Prices vary depending on the season.

In Świnoujście, at ul. Uzdrowiskowa (entrance from Stawy Młyny at about 200 metres) there is a special section of beach which animals are allowed to enter. This special zone in the vicinity of the windmill, signposted in two languages, covers an area of over 1,000m². It is equipped with containers with kits for clearing up after animals.

It functions during the season from 1.06. to 30.09.

A spa fee is payable in Świnoujście – resolution no. XVI/162/2019 of Świnoujście Town Council of 28 November 2019 regarding setting the spa fee (Bye-laws of Western Pomerania Voivodeship no. 6621).

The amount payable from 01.01.2020 is 4.40 zł (4.00 zł until 31.12.2019) for every day or part thereof spent in the town.

The fee does not apply to persons stipulated in art. 17 para. 2 of the Local Taxes and Fees Act, i.e.

1) staff of diplomatic missions and consular offices and other persons equivalent to these pursuant to international custom, laws or contracts, if they are not Polish citizens and have no permanent place of residence in Poland (conditional on reciprocity);
